Still raining the next day, Southeastern Tree Service came out anyway, accompanied by a Channel 11 camera crew of two. I imagine they are following the tree guys around to get good footage for a spot on the news. Armed with a crane the service picked the tree of the roof of the garage, set it on the lawn, cut it in two, loaded it on a truck and were gone. Clean, efficient, and fast. Also about $350. Not bad for wrestling a 500 pound tree in a rain storm without creating more damage to our house.
